The Keepin It Real Collection of inspirational cards by Janet Darden is just that, keeping it real.
You will pause for a moment before clicking the audio card “Custom Made Sex Slave” or “Eargasm”. Her inspirational topics range from celibacy, encouragement, and Sweet Peter Jeeter the Womb Beater.
Janet Darden is carrying the message of God to women everywhere with this great collection. And I’m sorry, but I cant resist her quoting her, “You Don’t have to live in England to be a queen.”
Click here to visit her website and check out this line of cards, you will not be sorry.
Today’s featured artist is Sha’s Glass Crafts.
Not only does she make beautiful glass products at her in home studio, she has a “favorite” file full of glass artists!
Glass seems like such a delicate material to work with and I truly admire glass artists.
I’m especially drawn to her butterflies.
“Whimsical. Silly. Strange. Fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants. Beautiful. Simple. Dark. Goofy. Odd. Retro. Lovely. (Insert your own adjective here.)
That's Miss Millificent's World.”
Nashville Artist Athena Workman has more creativity in her little finger than I can wish for.
As I stalked --strike that – explored her web sites I find I’m captivated by her work, both her photography and original art. And I can’t forget to mention her pop art jewelry.. oh and her calendars… and her artsy jewelry…and her ACEO’s….
The characters of "Miss Millificent's World" are for lack of a better word - cute. Although I’m not usually drawn to dark art, I love their giant doe eyes. I see an innocence there that is intriguing.
Now, not only does this talented artist draw, take photos, and create jewelry, she finds time to participate in the TN State Fair. Miss Workman can boast of winning various ribbons for her entries, from plants to pin collections. (– note to Athena – need more pictures of those entries!!)

Can I just say that I love screen printed stuff?!
Etsy featured Maryink a few weeks ago and I fell in love with the look and feel of the patterns.
The artist uses super soft, premium American Apparel T-shirts and can customize the shirts for your size.
And not only should their t-shirts fit curvy girls they also make these really cute tunic tops that may fit some of us plus girls.

I’m in love with the Pink Ferris Wheel candle holder

And the Hedgehog Tee.
Be sure to visit Maryink’s Etsy Shop for more fun stuff!
Black Star Jewelry is one of the first TN shops I found on ETSY, she has been so very gracious to me over the past year.
As you surf her store you can feel how she brings nature into her work. Not only is Black Star jewelry designer, but she is also a horticulturist, which is near and dear to my heart.

Perhaps that is why I love her “Cottage Garden Collection” of jewelry offered for sale at her ETSY store.
Her Pink Rose Earrings have the feel of vintage jewelry. I can see these becoming a family heirloom.

Along with these “Where the Atlantic meets the Gulf Stream” earrings.

Since she is a garden fanatic as am I, I will share with you some of her Flickr photos. Be sure to check the rest out for yourself and bookmark it for future viewing!
White Eggplants

A new one to me Purple Pole Beans.

Not to mention her sunflower collection.
I could go on and on about Black Star Jewelry, this amazing TN Artist. She has the ability to take nature and weave it into her work. She has an uncanny ability to capture texture and (how to describe it?) life… in her photos also.
And who couldn't love her cat, "Althea".
Nuff said...
Continuing the line of thought on fine Tennessee crafters, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Into the Fire. They specialize in thrown pottery, drums and earthen ware pendants.
I don’t think you need to read much from me, their products speak for themselves. Just look at these pictures and click on the above link. You will be amazed.
Lately I’ve found some amazing Tennessee artists on the ETSY site. Today's Featured artist is:
SBY616

She’s attending college at Vanderbilt, so we consider her a Tennessean. Look at the amazing photos in her shop.
The tulips in this photo are shouting “Pick Me, Me”! And that’s just what I want to do.
I want a huge bouquet of those purple tulips sitting on my desk.

Can’t stop there, look at the colors in “Bright Alley”.
I wonder where that pretty little alley is located?
Italy?
Holland?
Paris?
Mexico?
One can dream of an exotic location of this charming picture.
Be sure to give this Tennessean some love and check out her shop SBY616.
Ok, if there was ever anything that would make me want to be 20 again, it would be my new favorite shop Thimblescratch.
The clothing in this shop is fresh and fun…. Definitely not for the timid.
I can imagine my younger self prancing around like the models in her pictures.
Although most of her clothes listed are not plus sizes~ the stitcher will customize sizes for you.

I love this Sweet Blue skirt. The way the fabric has bits of embellishment on it makes me happy!
Talking about happy, the tag line for this shop is:
“Be happy wearing one of a kind designs,
one of a kind fabrics,
and go on saving our planet with a happy, smiling face!”

A few others that I love in this shop are:
Revenge of the Goldfish
And the
Sweet Pea Skirt
Be sure to visit Thimblescratch’s etsy shop or her personal web page at www.katebanazi.com

The process of screen printing intrigues me. My next goal is to learn how to screen print. I’m fascinated by artists that do amazing detail in their work.
For instance check out the mintd store Alyoisius Spyker.
How does a person make such a delicate stencil to provide the details as shown in her work?
My personal favorite of this store is “Quiet I’m thinking.” Look at the detail in her eyes, the artist says she is contemplating “Pie or Cake”, personally I think she is thinking of her love. She’s day dreaming about seeing him again. Sigh.

Then I laugh when I see “Your annoying me”, what a feminist point of view.
“I don’t need your help! Get out of my way! Dern petticoats!” (Say this sentence with a southern accent or it just doesn’t work..)
This store is bookmarked for future purchases. I simply HAVE to buy from someone who bases what day she goes to the post office by what cakes are on sale at the bakery next door. (see her profile for further info)
Don’t you wonder what made God create something as amazing as a star fish? Talk about an artist.
There is way too much information on the internet on this little marine animal. How he gets around, how he eats, moves and what have you, but to be honest, I just want to look at them, blue ones, red ones, and pink ones! I want to see them all!
I purchased several starfish items while vacationing in the Caribbean this past spring. Now when I wear one of them, I think of that vacation.

While on dry land I can purchase some really cute Starfish items off of Etsy.
This shop Beach Bride Boutique is a cute shop. The Sea Goddess Hair Vine is lovely and makes me want to renew my vows on a beach anywhere!

TanukiLove offers a Venetian glass starfish to wear around your neck. Wow.

And I have to say this is something I would wear just to be silly~Offered by The Smiling Squid… Stars on Ice.
And with that, I will go back to my day job.
Have a nice day!
